Guardiola, Manchester City boss, speaking on Friday:

We have to reach the highest possible level to qualify for Europe next season. We have to be consistent as possible. There are 10 games, six at home and four away. They are tough games at home and we have to do better because there are many teams with the same target as us.

It’s not a disappointment to be here, it is a challenge. If we can qualify for the Champions League, then it would be a huge success from my point of view. It depends on our football as to whether we will be there or not.

Brighton are one of the best clubs on and off the pitch. An exceptional young manager, who is doing incredible things. It’s not a secret. They deserve to be there.

Yep, we are going to talk about Jack Grealish again.

I mean, Manchester City with Guardiola are set to have the same squad they had at Nottingham Forest, so I need to talk about someone before the team news comes out.

And well, Grealish has been in the headlines after not making the England squad. It must have been a real blow, but you can’t say it was unexpected.

The winger has been really struggling this season and he barely gets a go from the start for Manchester City anymore. I mean, he has been so poor that it’s understandable.

He wasn’t even brought off the bench in the club’s loss at Nottingham Forest last week, which says everything, really.

But with results still not going the way of Pep Guardiola, could he maybe turn to Grealish today?

It wouldn’t be crazy for him to switch things up…

There are five games in all today, but we are only covering four of them in this blog. It’s going to be a good old day.

Here is what’s on:

  • Manchester City vs Brighton, 15:00 GMT
  • Everton vs West Ham, 15:00 GMT
  • Ipswich vs Nottingham Forest, 15:00 GMT
  • Southampton vs Wolves, 15:00 GMT
  • Bournemouth vs Brentford, 17:00 GMT

A lot of eyes will be on what happens at the Etihad between manchester City and Brighton, but we will have our fingers in all the Premier League pies… so, don’t worry.

Right then, shall we get this show on the road?

YOLO: Prediction with Guardiola on Etihad

Manchester City will host Brighton at the Etihad Stadium on March 15, 2025, in a Premier League encounter.

Manchester City sits in 5th place with 47 points, just ahead of Brighton in 7th place with 46 points.

Recent form shows Manchester City securing 3 wins in their last 6 matches across all leagues, while Brighton has shown strength on the road with 3 wins in their last 6 away fixtures in the Premier League.
