IEM Katowice Playoff Bracket: Get Ready for Intense Matches!
IEM Katowice has reached playoffs, where Spirit will have a chance to defend their title in the Spodek after moving past surprise challenger GamerLegion in Group B’s lower bracket final.
Six teams will fight for the trophy and notch in the Intel Grand Slam race from February 7-9, consisting of five out of the top eight-ranked sides — with G2, FaZe, and MOUZ missing out — and a resurgent Virtus.pro under Denis “electroNic” Sharipov’s leadership.
Natus Vincere and Vitality will start their playoff campaigns from the semi-finals after they made quick work of The MongolZ and Virtus.pro, respectively, in their upper bracket final matches.
Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren’s men will face Eternal Fire for the first time since IEM Rio 2024, where The MongolZ emerged victorious 2-1 with two one-sided map wins.
The Mongolian team had a 3-1 series record (3-2 including a best-of-one loss at the Copenhagen Major) against the Turks last year but will face a new challenge with the team revitalized with Samet “jottAAA” Köklü.
Spirit and Virtus.pro will face off on the opposite side of the bracket for only the second time since the former added Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov and the latter brought in electroNic.
The winner of that match will take on Natus Vincere, setting up the possibility of a rematch of the group stage nailbiter between the reigning Katowice champions and the team they hold a 7-2 series record for a spot in the final.
